Your Online Answer to Organizing and Tracking Work

ProjectLoad FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Organize, track and forecast the work of a group of people in a very intelligent, very affordable way

What is ProjectLoad?

ProjectLoad is a web based project management system. The software allows you to input and maintain your projects, break them into phases, assign people to work on them, and track the progress of each person. It includes a timesheet system for personnel to report daily time on each activity they have been assigned, built in forecasting of all personnel and projects, and an extensive reporting system.

How much does ProjectLoad cost?

ProjectLoad is an ASP based system so there is no software to buy, no setup fee, and no installation cost. We host the system on our servers so all you need is a computer with an Internet connection and a browser.

We use on demand pricing so you only pay for the number of people you actually need. You control how many people are authorized to use the system and at the end of each month the average number of people is multiplied by a small monthly fee. Payment can be handled via invoicing or automatic credit card processing. The first 30 days are completely risk free!

How is ProjectLoad hosted?

We use dedicated servers to host ProjectLoad. This allows us to tune the servers to the specific performance requirements of the application and keep the number of users on each server low to insure good response.

The datacenter housing the primary servers has redundant UPS, automatic fire suppression, continuous surveillance, and armed guards on site 24/7. The center is connected to the Internet via six separate backbone providers. In addition, we maintain duplicate servers that are kept continuously synchronized with the primary servers. The duplicate servers are housed in another datacenter in another geographic region of the country under a different hosting service. We can fail over from one datacenter to the other on demand in the event of a catastrophic failure of the primary center. The fail over capability is tested quarterly and when major upgrades are released.

Since the data is on your server, who owns it?

You own your data. Our Terms and Conditions states that the data you input to the system belongs exclusively to you. Your personnel are the only ones with access to your data and it is never shared without permission. You may also download your data for use in spreadsheets or external databases.

How do I get started?

We only need a few pieces of information to get you started. Simply go to the free trial page and fill in the form. The system will generate an administrator ID and set up your own instance of the system automatically. We will contact you with your administrator ID and password. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, simply deactivate any people you have in the system (including the administrator) within the first thirty days and you will not be billed.

When you first log into the system, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of the on-line user guides and page level help facility to learn more. The "Getting Started" guide is especially useful to get you on your way quickly. Although the system has many different settings and options, the defaults are generally sufficient for first time users.
